LATEST UPDATES / CURRENTLY PLAYING: 

Hal will be working on 'The Comedy of Errors', directed by Philip Breen, at the RSC throughout 2020. 

'The Ballad of Maria Marten' by Beth Flintoff kicked off in Scarborough at the SJT recently and now tours to the New Wolsey Ipswich and then to the New Vic Stoke on Trent. It stars six magnificent women, led by Elizabeth Crarer as Maria. (images below)

Hal recently directed Anna Wheatley's radical new version of Hansel and Gretel for South Street Arts Centre and RBL Theatre Company. Prior to that, his production of 'Macbeth' (also RBL) received rave reviews and audience feedback. It starred Jess Baglow (BBC's 'Gentleman Jack') in the title role. 

Raymond Briggs' 'The Bear' recently returned from Malaysia and is now touring the UK Tour over 2020.  

'Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs: The Magic Cutlass' headed to the West End during Christmas 2019, off the back of another UK Tour. 

Hal's 'Henry V' recently ran at The Barn Theatre in Cirencester. It received 4 star reviews in both The Telegraph and The Stage.

Hal's production of 'Juluis Caesar' with RADA played at the Vanburgh Theatre (RADA), London Schools and the Gdansk Shakespeare Festival, Poland, during summer 2019. 

Throughout 2018-2020, Hal is developing a new version of 'Howl's Moving Castle' in Wales with producer Tara Finney, puppet maker Nick Barnes, composer Lucy Rivers and writer Simon Harris. This project is supported by Wales Millennium Centre and Theatre Clwyd.
